Tom Brady talks about boat pitch Lombardi Trophy: ‘I wasn’t thinking’

Tom Brady appeared in The Late Late Show with James Corden, Tuesday, for his first interview since the famous Super Bowl boat parade. To celebrate the Tampa Bay Buccaneers championship, players gathered on boats for a parade on the Hillsborough River. During the event, Brady threw the coveted Lombardi Trophy into the boat behind occupied by Rob Gronkowksi and Cameron Brate.

“In the first place, I wasn’t thinking at the time,” said Brady. “It wasn’t a thought. It was, ‘It sounds like a lot of fun to do.”

Fortunately, Brate managed to grab the two-foot sterling silver trophy before it fell into the water.

“I found out later, if it was an incomplete passage, it would have dropped about 30 meters,” said Brady. “So, I’m so happy for Cam.”

The event was recorded by several people, and as soon as Brady plays the trophy, someone may be shouting ‘no!’ Brady revealed that it was his daughter, Vivian.

“Who would have guessed that an 8-year-old girl would have more common sense than any other in this whole area?” Brady said. “I mean, she is the voice of reason. Who knows. I have to say it was really cute. “

The Late Late Show with James Corden airs during the week at 12:37 pm CBS.
