Tom Brady finally reacts to all the fury surrounding his crazy Lombardi Trophy bid at the parade

It’s been almost two weeks since Tom Brady decided to go a little crazy playing the Lombardi Trophy from his boat at the Buccaneers’ Super Bowl parade, and since its drunk launch, many people have shared their feelings about it – not everyone was a fan – but a person we haven’t heard of from his own Brady.

Although Brady had a little fun on Twitter after the parade, mocking himself for his apparent drunkenness, the quarterback never said or wrote anything about how he felt about the defeat of the Lombardi Trophy. However, that changed over the weekend when Brady first mentioned the release on social media.

During one of his stories on Instagram – and just for the record, Brady posts a lot of stories on Instagram – the quarterback shared an image where he called the launch of the trophy “the most risky pass I’ve launched in the entire season”.

I will go ahead and agree with Brady about the fact that it was his most risky move of the season.

When you throw a pass on an NFL field, the risk is minimal, there are two bad things that can happen: It will be intercepted or it will fall incomplete. On the other hand, when you are playing a Lombardi trophy during a parade, there are several bad things that can happen: Brady may have dropped the trophy on his foot, he could have thrown the trophy into the water, the trophy could have opened his head someone. In addition, throwing a trophy into any body of water is a low percentage bid, especially when you are drunk.

Even Brady’s daughter thought the bid was a bad idea. You can hear her screaming “nooooo” in the video below.

Of course, this story has a happy ending because Brady managed to survive under pressure as usual. The 43-year-old made a perfect pass that was caught by Cameron Brate, which was good news for Brate, because he was ready to retire if he didn’t come down with the reception.

“If I had dropped this? I think I would have to retire,” said Brate after the parade. “That was incredible. He pointed at me. We talked about this before. It was a great launch. I mean, what do you expect from Tom Brady? A great launch.”

Brady was definitely aware of the risk involved, because a later video showed the quarterback laughing at one of the scenarios that could have happened at launch.

“If it hit your face, it would have been a disaster“Said Brady.

The good news for Brady and Brate is that the disaster was averted, meaning the two will now be remembered for making the biggest launch and capture of the Lombardi Trophy in the history of the Super Bowl parade.
