Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski discuss retirement in T-Mobile’s Super Bowl commercial

Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski joined forces for a T-Mobile Super Bowl ad on Friday before their fight against the Kansas City Chiefs over the weekend.

The announcement, set in 2020, shows Brady and Gronkowski discussing retirement and the tight end trying to convince the legendary quarterback that he will love getting away from football.

“I have a word for you: retirement,” says Brady’s faithful teammate. “If you retire now, you will be walking on soft sand in a week. Retirement is like earning another one!

But thanks for a bad connection, Brady only learned that he retired, “you are weak and weak.” Brady is then seen at a news conference saying he is taking Gronkowski to Tampa with him.

“Am I retiring?” Gronkowski wonders as he watches Brady.

It’s probably not exactly how Brady joined the Buccaneers and Gronkowski out of their own hiatus to join him. But the fantasy call is a good place.

It is the second year in a row that Brady has appeared in a Super Bowl commercial.

Amid doubts about whether he would retire after the 2020 season, Brady appeared in a Hulu commercial to calm the crowd.

“I’m not going anywhere,” he said in the commercial, which was built with cryptic tweets.

Later, he would make the shocking decision to sign with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and later take them to the Super Bowl LV.
