Erin responded in the comments with three champagne emojis, implying that there was some kind of celebration. “I love you,” she added.

The 42-year-old sports announcer also shared a photo of the meeting’s provocation, ‘Always something in progress’.

The producers fired Tom and Erin as co-hosts for DWTS in July 2020 and they were replaced by Tyra Banks before season 29.

‘Just informed @DancingABC will continue without me. It was an incredible 15 years of running and the most unexpected gift of my career. ‘Tom said at the time of the news.

Erin also shared a note on social media, writing, ‘I will always cherish my days on that set, even if I wasn’t the best at jumping.’

Tom had been presenting the program since its debut in 2005. Erin, in turn, competed in season 10 with Maksim Chmerkovskiy in 2010 before becoming co-host four years later.

Many fans were outraged at the choice to fire the longtime hosts and executive producer Andrew Llinares explained his decision.

“I think it’s all about evolution. I think any program like this, which has been in many, many seasons, needs to continue to evolve, ‘he told reporters on the ABC VirtuFall panel in September 2020.

“I think that changing the host is all about evolution. It was about making the program look new, making it look new [and making] perhaps reaches a new audience, as well as the audience that has been there for years. ‘

In December, Tom dashed hopes of returning to the series.

‘When people say,’ I’m not going to watch until you get back, ‘I say,’ Well, there really isn’t ‘until’ here. This train left the station, ‘said Tom.

‘I appreciate the feeling, and I don’t blame anyone if they [watch], ‘he added.

The longtime presenter, who also featured the funniest home videos in America, from ABC, and Hollywood Squares, thought the DWTS would mark the end of his presenter days, but not like that.

“I always thought Dancing would be where my management as a host would end,” said Tom of his 28 seasons on the show.

When asked what the future holds, Bergeron said that whatever comes next, he doesn’t think it would be in the realm of hosting.

‘I have hosted every format imaginable. There is no real fire in my stomach to do this again. That said, I’m always open to surprises, ‘he said.
