Today’s top offerings: Lenovo Smart Clock and 4 smart bulbs for $ 30, Battlefield 1 for less than $ 1, more

Before we get into business today, a quick preview of something I’m working on: I just signed up for T-Mobile Home Internet, which promises unlimited high-speed service for $ 50 a month. The hardware is on hold, so it will be a few weeks before I have anything to report, but suffice it to say that I am excited to finally have a potential alternative to Comcast – and a lot cheaper on that.

If you are a T-Mo Home Internet user yourself, access the comments and share what you like and dislike. Otherwise, stay tuned!

Best buy

Lenovo Smart Clock Essential is an extremely popular bedside companion, offering a more traditional clock radio screen with support from Google Assistant. It usually sells for $ 50, although it often dropped to $ 25 during the holidays.

For just $ 5 more than that, the Best Buy package adds a bundle of four smart bulbs, which would normally cost $ 45. They are soft white bulbs equivalent to 60 watts that you can control via an app or voice assistant ( natch).

I don’t know how long it can last at that price, but GameStop is selling used copies of the Battlefield 1 console classic for just 99 cents – and that drops to 83 cents with the promotional code CAG16. It is only available for pickup at the store, so you’ll have to cross your fingers if your local GameStop has it in stock.

I was able to get a copy for the Xbox One. Your mileage may vary, of course. Read GameSpot’s Battlefield 1 review to find out why it’s worth a try.

EarFun

Amazon seller: EarFun US

Price: $ 39 with 20% off page coupon and promotional code EFAIRBNT

We continue to be impressed with EarFun headphones, which generally offer many great features, solid sound quality and really good prices. EarFun Air, for example, is an alternative to AirPods that mimics Apple’s tube design. Although it has no active noise cancellation (instead, it has basic noise isolation), it does include USB-C and wireless charging and in-ear detection. This means that when you take off a headset, your music pauses. Excellent resource.

Cheapskate Jr. has been using them for months. His verdict: “These are the perfect headphones.” EarFun Air was also on David Carnoy’s list of the best alternatives to Apple AirPods.

My turn? Incredible value for money.

Enjoy your day, peep!
