Titans Sign OLB Bud Dupree

7:39 pm: Dupree’s chase by the Titans will produce a contract agreement. Dupree will sign with Tennessee, Pelissero and Ian Rapoport on the NFL.com report (on twitter) Although the terms are not fully known, Rapoport tweets the former Steelers farewell artist will receive $ 16.5 million annually in a multi-year deal.

19h14: In need of quick help, the Titans identified a target. They’re going after Steelers longtime defender Dupree, with Mike Garafolo and Tom Pelissero reporting (via Twitter) Tennessee is making a strong effort for the five-year veterinarian.

The high-end market, deeper than in recent years, is moving fast. Leonard Floyd, Matt Judon and Yannick Ngakoue they chose teams. The Titans are trying to strike a deal to remove another artist from outside pressure from the council.

The Browns are also in the mix for Dupree, according to Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports (on twitter) However, some members of the Steelers organization expect Dupree to end the Titans.

Dupree’s business will be interesting; he is still recovering from the ACL injury he suffered at the end of the regular season. Steelers should not re-sign the old choice for the first round. They used their franchise brand in Dupree last season, and it became a key part of a passing race that led the NFL in 2017-20 bags. Dupree broke into his first year of contract, registering 11.5 sacks in 2019. The Steelers saw the Kentucky alumnus make eight sacks in 11 games, but his knee injury will affect his market.

Losing JJ Watt, browns may need to attack quickly on the roughest front edge. There are rumors that they are prepared to sign a big name book holder for Myles Garrett. While the Browns were connected to Von Miller, with the Broncos’ decision on the future Hall of Fame still undetermined, but the group of free agents is dwindling.

Tennessee posted one of the worst third-descent defensive efforts in modern NFL history last season, and GM Jon Robinson’s additions to Jadeveon Clowney and Vic Beasley failed. Dupree would represent a gamble, given his injury and inconsistency, but the Titans need to add help here to join Harold Landry. Tennessee has already agreed to the D-lineman’s terms Denico Autry; an addition of Dupree would also help Landry and Jeffrey Simmons considerably.
