The creative team that brought Justified to FX is doing another show with the works of Elmore Leonard, Variety reported on Wednesday. This time, the FX show will be based on the novel City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit. Variety also reports what Justified star Timothy Olyphant could reprise his role as Raylan Givens in the new series.
Leonard’s novel on which this show will be based follows a murderer named Clement Mansell who is terrorizing Detroit and Raymond Cruz, the homicide detective who tries to catch him. A strange thing to note is that, although Variety mentions that it is possible that Raylan Givens from Olyphant could have a leading or supporting role in this new series, he is not a character in the novel, indicating that the creative team may be deviating from material source for the new show.
Graham Yost, the creator of Justified, will be the executive producer of the new series. About that, Justified executive writers and producers Michael Dinner and Dave Andron will co-write, executive produce and co-present the series. This new series will also bring back many Justifiedother executive producers, as well as Peter Leonard of Elmore Leonard Estate.
