Tim Allen makes a living by making people laugh, but one person who apparently made himself laugh is former President Donald Trump.
The “Last Man Standing” star appeared on the “WTF with Marc Maron” podcast this week, where he was asked whether he sees himself as an “old school conservative” as opposed to “crazy right-wing work”.
Allen revealed that he was always a “conservative and fiscal person with money”, while sharing his disgust with the American tax system.
“After I started making money, I had a silent partner who took almost half of my money and never gave me anything for it, which was taxes,” said Allen. “I never liked taxes … That’s it, I don’t like it. I work a lot for these things and I have achieved a lot and I have been hampered by my own mistakes. It’s all my fault, I understand. But I had a silent partner. I never liked taxes. “

Allen confirmed that the “silent partner” he referred to was the “government”.
The former “Home Improvement” actor also mentioned why he was never a celebrity who openly discusses politics. He says it is because he did not adhere to the “‘we'” culture.
“I literally don’t preach anything,” he said. “I’m not telling anyone how to live. When I realized that the last president pissed people off, I kind of liked that. So it was fun to just say nothing, [I] did not join the lynching crowd. “
Allen noted that he is a friend of the Clintons, but he opposed Hillary Clinton’s candidacy for the presidency.

“Bill Clinton has been a genuinely nice guy to me. When he was president, I sent Disney Christmas stuff. I sent all the films we made. I sent to Bush too and I sent to the Obamas. I didn’t think Hillary should have been president. In the end, you go in the other direction. I said, “It’s nothing personal about this. If you don’t like it, then wait until the next election.” ”
In another part of the hour-long interview, Allen talked about his own set behavior on the character. He said that his wife, and even his management team, criticized him for cursing too much.
“Sometimes I’m in that mood. I’m not doing it to piss anyone off. I don’t know what’s wrong with me and the language sometimes. I say that onstage is lazy. There’s probably a better word,” said Allen. “I’m kind of cruel on stage, which I love. One of my favorite parts is about children … The fact that I make jokes about children and really the kids in my neighborhood feel that and they are like cats. The more they know that I don’t like them, the more they stay close to me. “
Allen added, “I would never hurt a child or do anything inappropriate, but I like to be the smart one – and look good in their face and say, ‘Are you looking at me? Stop looking at me.'”

“Seriously, I was Eddie Haskell [from ‘Leave it to Beaver’]: ‘Yes, Mrs. Cleaver. No, Mrs. Cleaver, “said Allen.” I knew exactly what the adults wanted – make your bed, be polite, use a napkin – and then I would steal everything in the house. “
His bad behavior surfaced in 1978, when he was arrested at Michigan’s Kalamazoo / Battle Creek International Airport while carrying more than a pound of cocaine.

He later pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges and, at 23, spent two years and four months in federal prison.
“We were a bunch of college students – a bunch of kids who overreacted,” said the “Home Improvement” alumnus, noting that “two of us took it [the punishment] for about 20 guys. “
