Tigers climb the men’s top 25 in the AP; Gamecocks are stuck in women | South Carolina

COLOMBIA – Clemson climbed into the AP Top 25 this week, after beating NC State last week.

The Tigers jumped seven places to 12th on Monday.

Tigers (9-1, 3-1 ACC) are paused due to COVID and were unable to play games scheduled in North Carolina or Syracuse. They hope to be able to receive Virginia on Saturday as scheduled.

USC women are in 5th place

The Gamecocks ranked fifth came to a standstill after an exciting win at then-No. Kentucky 10 on Sunday as the rest of the top four have not lost. The USC (8-1, 3-0 SEC) had a game that hosted Georgia canceled due to COVID, but it should be fine to play at Vanderbilt on Thursday, as scheduled.
