By appearance aftermath, it sure looks like most of those airbags went off … something that almost certainly lessened the damage to Tiger’s body.
Granted, he is still dealing with a horrible leg injury – but it could have been much worse.
Now, as smashed as the GV80 appeared yesterday … you could argue that the structure really held up well, considering the impact. This is not surprising, since you know that it uses high-strength steel for the roof, transmission tunnel, front chassis extensions and rear frame parts.
With all that in mind … this machine may have been worth it off the lot. Obviously, Tiger’s was borrowed, as Genesis was the regular sponsor of the golf event that brought him to town.
