Thunder 101, Knicks 89: Scenes of the Knicks collapse on Earth

The New York Knicks were the favorites for the first time in the entire season. Let’s hope they are never favored again.

I’m not sure if the Knicks believed their own press clippings or if they’re just bad, but they didn’t really show up Friday night against the Oklahoma City Thunder. They got an 11 point lead because Thunder is not particularly good and failed to hit a shot to save their lives, but the Knicks’ attack is also not exactly a well-oiled machine.

Thunder’s second unit, which consists of four teenagers and Mike Muscala, destroyed a pathetic Knicks bench to return to the game at halftime, and then OKC practically rolled over from there. Julius Randle had problems for most of the game. Elfrid Payton sucked, and Immanuel Quickley got into the game and probably sucked even worse. RJ Barrett was terrible. Mitchell Robinson was very good, but he didn’t play at the time of the squelch for some reason. There were some strange decisions by Tom Thibodeau. Just a butt juice contest out there.

That piece was really cool.

There was an Austin Rivers horn at the end of the third quarter which was really cool too, but I’m not going to look for it. Forget this game.

Matt Miranda has the recap. The worst game of the season.
