It was a crazy afternoon on the court for the Texas Longhorns and West Virginia Mountaineers in Morgantown.

The Longhorns men’s basketball team had a great start, hitting six of the first seven shots to lead 13-8 at the start. The Mountaineers managed to survive the race and start one on their own, thanks in large part to Taz Sherman’s efforts in the first half. Texas found itself in a hole, losing 40-36 in the interval.

The Longhorns were able to withstand the storm when they dropped nine points by one point in the second half. They were able to recover in the second half to close the game in a series of 7-0 to guarantee victory at the end of the game. Many players were in action, but none greater than the heroism of point guard Andrew Jones. His three-point shot just over a second from the end was what made the difference.
