Three noteworthy numbers for Florida vs. South Carolina basketball

Tonight, the Florida Gators host the South Carolina Gamecocks in a clash between two teams in opposite directions. Although the UF has skyrocketed in recent weeks, the USC has hobbled to a 1-5 record in the past six – just the opposite of Florida’s recent run.

Entering the game, which is the only one scheduled between the two schools this year during the regular season, there are some important numbers from both the series’ history and more recent events. Overall, the Gators lead the all-time series with a 46-27 record, with the two teams negotiating wins in the past four meetings; interestingly, the road team was the winner in all of those games.

Florida’s last home win in the series was on February 21, 2017, which resulted in a two-game losing streak, but also prevented another. From 2011 to 2015, UF won seven in a row, corresponding to the second longest streak between the two schools – the record for nine consecutive occurred between 2001 and 2005.

This is a good sample of the numbers that the two programs share, now here’s a look at the intriguing three digits provided by the game’s official press release.
