On Sunday, LA Times published a report on Hollywood’s Gothic nightclub, Cloak & Dagger, which some former clubgoers claim to have fostered an environment of sexual misconduct and abuse before it closed earlier this year. One of the people mentioned in the play is Silicon Valley Thomas Middleditch; a woman named Hannah Harding claims the actor made “obscene sexual openings” and palpated her on the spot on October 22, 2019, in addition to palpating another woman. When the club’s operations manager, Kate Morgan, alerted its co-founders, Adam Bravin and Michael Patterson, and asked to remove Middleditch from the club, they allegedly “dismissed” him.
According to Harding, the actor later texted her, saying, “I had no idea that my actions were so strange to you” and “I’m so ashamed to make you uncomfortable.” Later, Bravin allegedly contacted Harding to imply that she was totally wrong about the incident. “Adam called me ‘to be sure and get a second opinion on him’ because they didn’t trust my story in the first place,” she says. “They cared more about the famous people in their club than about the safety of women.” According Times, this was not the first complaint the team made to management about Middleditch’s conduct.

However, for Times, Cloak & Dagger had kicked out famous members before, including screenwriter Max Landis, who was accused of sexual and emotional abuse in 2019, although not at the club.
In another incident, a woman named Elizabeth claims that an unidentified “prominent member of the Cloak” sexually assaulted her in October 2018. After telling a friend, a club actress, about the incident, the pair confronted the man after what the actress was reportedly banned for a month and summoned to a company meeting with the attempted rapist of Bravin and Elizabeth. “Michael and Adam were furious at your, ”Says Morgan. “They suspended it, apologized to the member and said to move on.” Bravin tells the Times, “I spoke to [accused] member the next day, and he gave his account of a consensual experience. ”He supposedly didn’t contact Elizabeth because of her.
In statements to the Times, the club’s co-founders denied the charges against the site, which announced its closure in January. “As far as I know, they reported all the incidents to us and, as far as I know, we deal with all the problems brought to our attention,” said Patterson. Said Bravin: “Our goal from day one was to create the safest space possible.” A Middleditch representative declined to comment to the Times about your report.
