The Samsung Galaxy A52, one of the two mid-range smartphones that Samsung is expected to officially present in a next events on March 17, it may have just been revealed in an unboxing video.
We’ve heard a lot about the Samsung A72 and A52 in a fairly comprehensive collection of leaks and rumors so far, but we haven’t seen any of them in the real world – until now, if this YouTuber Moboaesthetics video is to be believed.
As always, we can’t talk about the authenticity of anything that appears in a YouTube video, but this looks like a real Samsung phone. Moboaesthetics strives to show everything in what appears to be a closed box, cutting tamper-proof seals and painstakingly unwrapping the plastic covers before going through the entire phone setup process. We would be surprised if something were falsified.
The supposed Samsung A52 looks different from its predecessor, but only on the back with its new arrangement of quad rear cameras. Moboaesthetics claims that the back is plastic, although the protrusion of the camera appears to be perfectly integrated with the back cover rather than in a separate block.
On the other hand, some of the details pointed out in the video support what we saw before: quad rear cameras with a 64 MP sniper along with other 8 MP, 2 MP and 5 MP cameras (presumably main, ultra-wide, depth and macro lenses ). The supposed A52 box had 5G prominently displayed, and the video claims that it contains a Snapdragon 750G chipset. This follows leaks that we heard with this configuration for the 5G compatible version and other rumors that a Snapdragon 720G chipset is coming in the 4G model only.
The last detail of unpacking: the phone came with a 25W charger in the box, although not with headphones, unlike the Samsung Galaxy S21 series which did not include either. It is not known whether this will be the case in all regions.
Samsung A52 and A72: not much to know
While rendering and specifications leaks I suggest that both phones will be improved versions of their previous models, this is the most complete look of the A52 we’ve had so far, and we could see more before the Samsung Unpacked event on March 17th. both accidentally revealed on the Samsung website in the Middle East, but we’re still waiting to see the A72 in the real world as well.
We’ve heard a lot about the A72 – and we’re especially curious to know how many of its features, like the previously flagship 30x Space Zoom, will also come to the A52. Previous generations of both phones saw the A70 phones with slightly better features and proportionately higher prices than the A50 phones, so we expect the same for the A72 and A52 phones, but we will not be sure until both are publicly revealed.
