After the Orlando Magic negotiated Dwight Howard before the 2012-13 NBA season, they tried to rebuild this team into a legitimate candidate at the Eastern Conference, but have not been very successful over the years. Since recruiting Howard No. 1 overall in 2004, Magic has had 0 players that they chose to become All-Stars and have been unsuccessful year after year.

Coach Steve Clifford led this team into the playoffs for two consecutive years, but they lost 4-1 in the first round in both seasons. At the beginning of this season, Magic had practically the same list and high hopes that some of its young talents would continue to develop, but injuries really plagued this team.

Nikola Vucevic, Evan Fournier, Terrence Ross and Aaron Gordon appear to be the only remaining legitimate contributors this year, making the chances of Magic’s playoffs very slim this season.

With Nikola Vucevic being named an All-Star for the second time in his career this season, many NBA trade rumors have started to emerge around the 30-year-old center. Although he is his best player and one of the only bright spots on his team, Vucevic’s value is on the rise, giving Magic the opportunity to potentially capitalize on trading him.
