Third Gamecock enters the basketball transfer portal

South Carolina men’s basketball is represented on the NCAA transfer portal once again as a guard TJ Moss exited the program. Moss has just completed his third season with the Gamecocks. He played in 18 games (five games) and averaged 18.3 minutes, 4.3 points and 1.8 rebounds per game.

Moss joins playmaker Trae Hannibal and striker Jalyn McCreary on the transfer portal, with news of the other two on Tuesday. Last Sunday, junior striker Keyshawn Bryant declared for the 2021 NBA Draft, but has not yet hired an agent. Gamecocks were 6 to 15 in 2020-21.

2019-20 (Redshirt freshman)
– Watched the action in 30 games, averaging 2.0 points, 0.9 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 11.9 minutes per game
– Had seven games with 2+ assists and a two-digit score output
– Scored six points and made four assists with a couple of steals in the victory against Cleveland State (November 15)
– Scored 10 points, reaching a record of the season four attempts on the ground, to go along with three assists in the victory against No. 10/12 Kentucky (January 15)
– Had a record of five assists in the season at Ole Miss (February 5)

2018-19 (freshman)
– Watched the action in seven games, averaging 6.3 points and 1.9 assists in 20.6 minutes per game, before being sidelined for the rest of the season due to ankle and foot injuries in early December
– Also lost the first two games of the season due to a foot injury
– Proposed two double-digit scoring games, including a 12-point season record against Providence (November 17)
–Connected in a 3-point trio in the win over George Washington (November 18)
– Finished the season record with four assists in 32 minutes in Wyoming (December 5)

Pre-South Carolina
– Listed as a three-star prospect according to 247sports.com
– Helped bring his Findlay Prep squad to a general record of 32-5 in 2017-18, advancing to the semifinal round of the national high school tournament
– Average team 6.2 assists per game in the Findlay Prep
– Before Findlay Prep, he spent three seasons at Memphis East High School, helping his team to a combined record of 65-5 during their last two seasons
