SANTO ANTÓNIO – Due to the predicted winter conditions in and around San Antonio, several school districts are announcing the closure for Friday. As of Thursday, the area has seen a lot of rain and some ice because of the milder temperatures.
KSAT meteorologists are also predicting sub-zero temperatures and a likelihood of precipitation in winter, starting on Sunday night and early Monday.
Below are the schools that close on Fridays:
“Bandera ISD has been monitoring weather conditions in the area. Given the forecast and in the best interest of the safety of the student and the team, classes will be canceled on Friday, February 12, 2021. ”
“Due to bad weather and the threat of ice on the roads, classes at Blanco ISD were canceled for Friday, February 12, 2021.”
“Due to inclement weather and forecasts of unsafe road conditions, there will be no school for students in person or at home on Friday, February 12.

“As a precaution for our students, staff and community, Friday, February 12th will be a day of bad weather for KISD. Monday, February 15 is still a student holiday. It’s a Team Development Day and the team will be performing on their campus on Monday. We will see students back at normal hours on Tuesday, February 16th. “
“Due to continuous precipitation and temperatures fluctuating around the freezing mark, the Leakey ISD will start two hours late to Friday, 12/02/2021. The buses will also operate two hours later than normal. “
