It is the 25th anniversary of the Pokémon game series and its creators have some news to mark the occasion. The Pokémon Company announced a virtual event “Pokémon Presents” on February 26 at 10:00 am Eastern. It is not offering many clues as to what to expect, but there should be 20 minutes of new information. You can tune in to YouTube.
Unofficial expectations are high. How Nintendo Life grades, Pokémon Center and French informant Kelios heard that there may be remakes of the DS classics Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. If accurate, they would be closer to the 2006 originals than to the Come on titles were for Yellow.
These are not the only candidates for news, of course. The company could reveal a new mobile game or shed more light on the next release, such as New Pokémon Snap and Pokémon Unite. You can also receive news about tie-ins like Detective Pikachu 2 movie. This can be a crowded event, even if Pokémon Day (which will include a digital performance by Post Malone) occurs a day later.
