Fortnite’s ongoing collaboration with Star Wars continues today with a new mode and location added as part of the game’s 15.30 update.
Mando’s Bounty is a point-based game in which you have three lives to take down as many opponents as possible – and preferably, the target identified by your own reward disc. This item is in your inventory and projects a holographic image of your victim, as well as the popular TV show for parents in space, The Mandalorian.
The game takes place across the Fortnite map, although the action now seems centered around its new location in the canteen, located near Butter Barn in the desert area of Fortnite (which is more like Tatooine than Nevarro, but still). Come here and you’ll be greeted with the familiar Star Wars canteen music, and probably an explosion in the face.
The Mando Bounty can be played alone or as a team. In some ways, it is similar to the John Wick reward mode that worked previously, although there is a twist in the middle, as the Mandalorian himself will eventually appear and start hunting for the game’s point leader. Get a Victory Royale and you will win a Victory Umbrella with a Mandalorian theme.
The current Fortnite season is themed around the bounty hunter, and his biggest battle pass prize is to unlock Baby Yoda. While you’re leveling up your beskar, maybe give this mode a try.
