Sega is bringing Judgment, your Yakuza team’s murder mystery and action adventure for PlayStation 5, Stadia and Xbox Series X on April 23. The remastered version of Judgment will include refined visuals, a frame rate of 60 frames per second and improved load times, says Sega – in addition to including all previously downloaded downloadable content. The relaunch of Sega de Judgment will cost $ 39.99.
Judgment was originally released exclusively for the PlayStation 4. Yakuza developer Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio launched the game first in Japan, with a global release in June 2019.
A Yakuza series spinoff, Judgment star Takayuki Yagami, a wretched lawyer who has become a gray-haired private detective who tries to solve the mystery behind a series of murders. Joining him in his quest is former yakuza Masaharu Kaito. The pair explores Kamurocho’s underground and fights his criminal element in search of the truth. Like Yakuza games, expect a lot of street fights – but also investigative gameplay, side missions and mini-games.
In our game analysis, we praise Judgment to build something new in the familiar gameplay structure of the Yakuza series. “It does not escape its roots – it is still a police drama with many punches – but it fills the history of the city and its people in a way that is not possible in a game focused only on the criminal underworld,” we said. “This is the same city, seen from a very different perspective.”
