The winter edition of the Steam Game Festival has started

Are you ready to be overwhelmed by an abundance of options? Great, because the next Steam Game Festival has just started with over 500 demos for you to try. Or, like me, think long and hard before trying for an entire week before realizing you’ve lost. Oops. If you’re not the type to try, there are also live streams from developers to watch. The festival has just been launched and runs until next Tuesday, February 9th.

As with previous Steam Game Festivals, this one has a number of upcoming games of all kinds for you to check out. You can follow everything that is available and watch the developers’ live streams on the official Steam Game Festival page. You may find that something you were looking at suddenly has a demo available, or better yet, you may discover something new that you would like to follow up after trying it out.

The trailer here takes a quick look at some things to come, from silly groups like the cooperative Fling To The Finish to the magical RPG Black Book. If you need help filtering all options, don’t worry. Alice B will make some recommendations for you.

By the way, there is likely to be a Steam sale soon after the festival. The SteamDB guys are you pretty sure that the Lunar New Year sale will begin on February 11, two days after the Games Festival closes. Thankfully, we are practicing our decision-making skills in advance.

The Steam Game Festival officially started at 18:00 GMT (10am PST) today and will continue until that same hour on Tuesday, February 9th.
