The video shows a quick-witted Chick-fil-A client helping police officers arrest a fleeing suspect

A customer waiting at a Chick-fil-a drive-thru is being praised for his quick thinking after helping a policeman to arrest a suspect he was chasing.

The incident happened in Jacksonville, Texas, on Wednesday, while the man waited in line for his chicken sandwich, according to KLTV.

Jacksonville police said the officers were chasing a suspect who they said was driving a stolen vehicle and who had jumped out of the car to escape the police.

When the suspect tried to run between the line of cars in the restaurant’s parking lot, the customer waited until the right time to open the truck door for the suspect.

A police officer launched himself at the man after he fell to the ground, and the client can be seen further helping the police while he makes the arrest.

“A hungry customer, who was patiently waiting for his chicken sandwich, used his door to stop the suspect. The suspect was quickly arrested after the” HANGRY “(but helpful) citizen reminded the suspect why you should never run from the police” , the Jacksonville Police Department wrote on its Facebook page with a video of the incident.

Police did not say whether the suspect faces any charges for the arrest.

The video caught a lot of attention, with over a thousand comments and almost ten thousand shares on Facebook alone, and many more on Twitter.
