The vaccine appointment window at Fairgrounds opens at noon

COVID-19 vaccines will be available this week, by appointment, at the Clark County Event Center at Fairgrounds, according to the state Department of Health.

To make an appointment, you must first confirm that you are eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine in Phase 1A or 1B-1 using the Phase Finder tool. Phase Finder does not make an appointment for you. Once confirmed through the Phase Finder, you can make an appointment at one of the mass vaccination sites listed below. Note that the time and registration information are different for each location.

Registration starts at noon today. About 800 consultations will be available each day. We recommend that you make an appointment online. If you need help, call the COVID-19 hotline at 1-800-525-0127 and press #. Language assistance is available.

Tawnia Linde, the fair’s marketing director, warned that appointments cannot be made on site. She said people who hope to get nominations have appeared on the fair grounds, but are rejected.

The vaccination schedule is from 9 am to 5 pm, from Tuesday to Friday, and from 9 am to 3 pm, on Saturdays.

The fairground is at 17402 NE Delfel Road, north of Vancouver.

Consultations were quick last week. Locally and regionally, there is still more demand for vaccine than available vaccination vacancies.
