The update of Android 11, One UI 3.0 is more widely publicized in the states for the Galaxy S20 series

According to Android Police, the North American owners of the unlocked phones in the Samsung Galaxy S20 series continue to arrive on the Android 11 update they just received. The update includes One UI 3.0, making it the latest version of Samsung’s user interface designed to make the elements of a big screen phone accessible to everyone. With One UI, users no longer need to exercise with their finger to reach a button in the top corner of a device. This is because Sammy moved the buttons towards the bottom of the screen.
Android 11 comes with the bubble notification system, which allows users to perform various tasks while chatting. There are also media controls found in Quick Settings and notifications containing conversations are moved to the top of the screen. You’ll find new looks for the Settings and Battery menus, additional Emoji and more. To learn more about Samsung One UI 3.0 check our review.
Reports on the availability of the update for unlocked units in the states were first seen on December 21. At that time, some Samsung owners were looking at the calendar looking twice with some noting that this was the first time that they received an Android update on their Samsung device in the United States (beating last year’s Android 10 update for a few days). The update (with Android 11 and the One UI 3.0 interface) reached the unlocked US Galaxy S20 series not long after it started appearing on models blocked by operator Verizon, T-Mobile and AT&T.

If you have an unlocked US version of any Galaxy S20 series model, check the update by going to settings > System > Advanced > System update.
