The Underground Railroad series trailer, release date: WATCH

Well, happy black history month for that. Barry Jenkins’ long-awaited adaptation of Colson Whitehead’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Underground Railroad finally has a debut date. In the official teaser trailer, Jenkins’ vigilant lenses focus on Cora Randall (Thuso Mbedu), a young woman chasing freedom in the pre-war south on the almost mythical Underground Railroad. What she discovers “is not a mere metaphor, but a real railroad full of engineers and drivers and a secret network of tracks and tunnels under the southern soil”, explains a statement. While traveling from state to state, Cora is pursued relentlessly by a bounty hunter (Joel Edgerton) who was never able to capture her mother when she left Cora years ago. The ten-episode limited series also stars Chase W. Dillon, Aaron Pierre, William Jackson Harper, Sheila Atim, Amber Gray, Peter De Jersey, Chukwudi Iwuji, Damon Herriman, Lily Rabe, Irone Singleton, Mychal-Bella Bowman, Marcus “MJ” Gladney Jr., Will Poulter and Peter Mullan. Barry Jenkins acts as a showrunner and directs all ten episodes. THE Moonlight The visionary has been sharing tips for months on his Vimeo, each with Nicholas Britell’s soundtrack. The Underground Railroad debuts on May 14 on Amazon Prime Video. Until then, watch the latest teaser above and everyone else here.
