Kentucky will have one more game at home after Saturday’s Seniors game against Florida.

The dispute against South Carolina, originally scheduled for December 29, was rescheduled for March 6 at the Rupp Arena. Tipoff’s schedule and television designation will be announced in the near future.

The previous season’s scheduled showdown was postponed because of a combination of positive tests, contact tracking and subsequent quarantine of individuals within the South Carolina men’s basketball program.

The Wildcats plan to honor veterans Davion Mintz, Olivier Sarr and Riley Welch ahead of the team’s competition against the Gators on Saturday at 4pm.

Contingency plans: The NCAA determined its decision on how to deal with various scenarios related to the pandemic and the NCAA Tournament.

The following formulas will be used:

• Once the key is finalized and released, teams will not be propagated again, nor will the key change.

• Reasonable efforts will be made to ensure that the entire field is available before the start of the championship. No substitute teams will be introduced after the start of the championship.

• Each participating conference must have the opportunity for at least one team on the championship field.

• In addition to the goal of having at least one team from each conference, the replacement teams must be among the best being considered for a general bid.

• There are separate policies for when a team is forced to withdraw: one for before the announcement of the championship field and one for after the release of the key. Substitute teams will only be introduced to the championship within 48 hours after the pitch is announced, and at no time after that.
