The UK can play another game outside the conference in place of South Carolina

The opening of the Kentucky Southeastern Conference was delayed because South Carolina interrupted basketball activities due to COVID. Originally scheduled for next Tuesday, December 29, the game has been postponed with no makeup date set yet. Kentucky will now give a hint about the SEC game in Starkville on Saturday, January 2nd.

However, John Calipari may choose to add one more opponent outside the conference to the schedule on the night of December 29 to fill the vacancy in South Carolina. The UK has an open, non-conference game to play due to the cancellation of the Detroit Mercy game, and Matt Jones of KSR itself is listening to a family program that can enter and play the Cats between the games in the state of Louisville and Mississippi.

How does UK-Bellarmine sound? Bellarmine is one of the opponents being considered for an alternative game next Tuesday night.

Stay tuned.
