The twins announcer Dick Bremer fires back with an anti-mask tweet

Longtime Minnesota Twins commentator Dick Bremer is currently using a new name: “The Masked Sports Announcer”.

Bremer took aim at a Twitter user on Thursday after being criticized for wearing a mask in the air when calling the Twins’ spring training game against the Boston Red Sox.

“Take your mask off Mr. Bremer,” said one user in a deleted tweet. “This rubbish ends only when ordinary people decide that we have had enough. It starts with you and me. Go twins!”

Bremer, who has called twins games since 1983, responded with his own opinion on the mask debate.

“I’m going to take off my mask when everyone who wants a vaccine does. Then I can look into the eyes of thousands who have lost loved ones and tell them I did everything I could. Go twins!” He tweeted.

His biography on Twitter also says “The Masked Sports Announcer”, although it is unclear whether it was added after Thursday’s shuttle.
