The trailer for MLB The Show 21 shows the new creator of the stadium

MLB The Show 21 will deliver an always-good feature to have that baseball fans never reasonably expected to receive: a stadium creator. But it makes sense. Baseball fans worship the unique, quirky and historic green cathedrals of the game like no other team sport and, with non-uniform dimensions, the way they are built affects the game on the pitch.

Now MLB The Show players (on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, since the stadium creator mode will not be available on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of MLB 21) will be able to build a stadium as they see fit, not only adjusting the dimensions of the pitch, the dirty territory and the height of the external wall, but also the architectural style, ornamentation and even the surrounding environment. In a new trailer released on Thursday, puppet Fernando Tatis Jr. demonstrates by transforming his Petco Park site into a similar environment most yard suitable for pitchers

In general terms, it looks like Sony’s San Diego Studio has included the toolkit that developers use to make the game’s wonderful fictional secondary league stadiums (curiosity: Shippet Stadium is called “Submit!”, Which the developers yell at each other as the release date is approaching).

The video shows that users will be able to play in their custom parks in Diamond Dynasty and Franchise modes. If you’re super proud of your backward / futuristic / transdimensional creation of the cornfield, you can share it with the rest of the community as well. The game, which makes a historic debut on the Xbox Series X this year, supports multi-platform gaming, so users from both console families will be able to see and share everyone’s stadiums.

MLB The Show 21 will be released on April 20 on PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X. It will be the first MLB licensed simulation game on an Xbox platform in eight years.
