The third season of “Titans” cast Jay Lycurgo for the recurring role of Tim Drake.
Drake is described as a smart boy who managed to grow up on the toughest streets without losing his indelible faith in heroism. His relaxed demeanor is supported by an almost genius mind, a natural detective with a sense of detail far beyond his age. Fans of the “Batman” comics will remember that Drake served with Batman as the third Robin.
Lycurgo is expected to play a supporting role in Matt Reeves’ upcoming feature film, “The Batman”, although it remains unclear whether he will play Drake in the film. His previous credits include the critically acclaimed HBO series “I May Destroy You” and Amazon’s short film “Father of the Bride”.
He is represented by Grandview & Insight Management & Production.
Drake is the last DC character to be announced for the third season of “Titans”. Variety reported exclusively that Savannah Welch will join the show as Barbara Gordon.
“Titans” was renewed for a third season at DC Universe in November 2019. However, it was announced in September 2020 that DC Universe was leaving the original series with a script, with its remaining original scripts switching to HBO Max. Other programs who made the change included “Doom Patrol” and “Harley Quinn”.
“Titans” was the first scripted series to be released in the DC Universe, with the first season opening in October 2018. The series was developed by Akiva Goldsman, Geoff Johns, Greg Berlanti, based on characters from DC. All three serve as executive producers along with Greg Walker and Sarah Schechter. The series is produced by Goldsman’s Weed Road Pictures and Berlanti Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television.
