Everyone is looking forward to entering 2021 next week, and Netflix has given us one more reason to celebrate the arrival of the new year. The long-awaited third season of Cobra Kai was scheduled to launch on Netflix on January 8, a little over a week in 2021, but now we won’t have to wait that long. On Thursday morning, as an early Christmas gift, Netflix announced that new episodes of Cobra Kai will be released a week ahead of originally planned.
That’s right, everyone starts the new year with the karate Kid. Season 3 of Cobra Kai will now premiere on Netflix on January 1, 2021. All 10 episodes of the new season will fall at once, creating a huge New Year’s binge.
Netflix made the announcement with a video of Johnny Lawrence by William Zabka trying to discover the Internet, so he could launch the third season of Cobra Kai for fans as early as possible. A written message from Johnny was also released, who is clearly excited to help everyone, as long as they can keep a secret.
“QUIET! I heard you all complain that the third season is taking forever. I called the pawn shop and the guy taught me this Netflix thing. The guy knows what he does. Now you understand a week before. See you, January 1st, nerds. “
It seemed to be the third season of Cobra Kai it took a long time, but the new episodes were produced a long time ago. Season 3 production was completed before YouTube sold the series to Netflix, but the new streaming home for Cobra Kai wanted to launch the first two seasons first, in order to create excitement for the third installment. After the initial seasons were released in August, it was revealed that Season 3 would debut in January.
The third season of Cobra Kai will see Daniel LaRusso return to Okinawa, Mr. Miyagi’s home, and be reunited with old friends and enemies. Both Kumiko and Chozen, characters from The Karate Kid – Part II, will be making its return.
