Tampa, FloridaSuper Bowl LV is defined: the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s a home game for the Buccaneers – as if their legendary quarterback Tom Brady needs an advantage.

Brady, a six-time Super Bowl champion, has now done the unthinkable, taking another team to the Super Bowl only in its first year with the franchise.

In his path is superstar Patrick Mahomes, who has established himself as the face and future of the NFL. This dynamic highlight machine is taking the Chiefs to their second consecutive Super Bowl. It is not an easy task – the last defender to win the Super Bowls in a row was Brady in 2004 and 2005.

Brady, who is old enough to be Mahomes’ father, won his first Super Bowl when Mahomes was in kindergarten. This is a generational confrontation. The old guard facing the new guard. History vs. future. The legend of 43 against the boy of 25.

The February 7 game at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium will be Brady’s 10th Super Bowl appearance. He already has more Super Bowl wins than any player in league history. Another win would give you more wins than any other franchise.

The Buccaneers defeated the number 1 Green Bay Packers sown on Sunday, 31-26, to win the NFC and a spot in the Super Bowl. The Buccaneers will be the first team in Super Bowl history to play the championship at their stadium.

“The belief that he gave this organization that it could be done,” said coach Bruce Arians when asked what Brady brought to the team. “It took only one man.”

Brady had been with the New England Patriots for 20 years before moving to Tampa.

Mahomes said on Sunday that facing Brady would be “a great experience”.

“To go there and have the chance to repeat and be able to do it against the best, I mean, it’s something special and I’m excited about the opportunity,” he after the Chiefs defeated Buffalo Bills 38-24.

Mahomes will be the first defender to start several Super Bowls at age 25 or younger. Even Brady has no right to brag.

November 29 was the last time the two defenders competed against each other. Mahomes and the Chiefs came out on 27-24.
