The Super Bowl auto insurance commercial just raised the bar for the deaf

The Super Bowl commercials for The Cure Auto Insurance are one of those ads that are likely to be dismissed instantly – even by people who have never heard of the company before.

The premise is simple and stupid. A woman (who doesn’t even have a name) brings an idiot named Tommy to her boss’s office to explain that Tommy brought her into his office and “got his opinion” – except that the opinion is said in a way you can say which is meant to be a placeholder for something you should never show your co-workers.
