The sunlight returns, the cold lasts a few days!

CHARLESTON, SC (WCSC) – It’s a return to the sun today across Lowcountry, but the cold will remain for a few more days! The highs will only rise to around 50 degrees this afternoon, but it will get colder thanks to a gust of northwest wind. Today’s gusts will be between 20 and 30 mph! Some clouds may return this afternoon and evening, as a fast-moving disturbance slides through the area. After that passes, the sky will be clear overnight and temperatures will drop rapidly due to a weaker wind. Nighttime lows range from 28-32 ° inland, 33-36 ° on beaches. The sun will continue on Wednesday, before the clouds start to return on Thursday. Our next storm system will bring a chance of some showers on Friday. We will dry out on Friday night, but another chance of rain will likely pass through the area between Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning. We will keep you updated on the chances of rain over the weekend, as computer models agree.
