The sudden explosion appears to cause a morning fire that hospitalized 2 people

NORTHWEST MIAMI-DADE, Florida. – Two people are hospitalized after suffering burns in a domestic fire on Saturday.

Authorities said they were inside the house when she caught fire. The call came at 5:47 am, according to the Miami Dade Fire Rescue.

Neighbors told Local 10 News that they heard a loud explosion from a residential building behind a house near Northwest 36th Avenue at Northwest 33rd Court.

The force of the explosion was so great that it exploded part of the roof of the house next door.

Surveillance video captured the explosion.

“I mean, it rocked this place,” said neighbor Sylvester Williams. “The whole neighborhood was shaking like a bomb.”

Firefighters managed to put out the fire before it spread to neighboring houses.

“The units arrived to find strong fire from outside the building invading the interior. They did a fire attack and ended up finding some victims, ”said Ryan Rothenberg of Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

The conditions of the two people are unknown at this time and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
