The climb continues for the Ohio State basketball team. Just out of the top 25 a few weeks ago, most polls and experts now place the Buckeyes in the top five in the country and potentially closing in on a number 1 seed if things continue.
Almost every opinion maker that exists now has Buckeyes among the country’s elite teams, and there is one that we have been following for some time. . Last week, ESPN’s Jeff Borzello placed OSU in 9th place in its weekly power ranking, which was good in itself. But now, after a victory on the road against Iowa, in combination with some defeats from the front teams, he elevated Ohio State among the nation’s elite teams.
We must, of course, warn that there is still a lot of season ahead, but there is no doubt at this point that the Buckeyes will be ranked well in the NCAA Tournament wherever and whenever it is played.
