Warner Bros / HBO Max has released a sizzling reel from its upcoming 2021 slate and presents the first look at Sopranos’ highly anticipated prequel The Many Saints Of Newark.

Michael Gandolfini – son of the late actor James Gandolfini – is shown portraying the younger version of the character that his father made famous; Tony Soprano.

It was not the only film featured in the video for more than a minute and a half, as there were also short clips of the next films: Dune, The Suicide Squad, Godzilla vs. Kong, In the Heights, Judas and the Black Messiah, King Ricardo, The Conjuration: The Devil Forced Me, and Mortal Kombat.

All films are scheduled to debut on a daily basis, both in theaters and on the HBO Max streamer.

In the extremely short clip of The Many Saints Of Newark, young Tony Soprano is seen looking at someone who says ‘Antonio Soprano’ before being attacked.

The prequel to the iconic HBO series, The Sopranos, focuses on the origins of the iconic character who eventually becomes a mafia boss.

The prequel cast includes Ray Liotta, Vera Farmiga and Alessandro Nivola as Dickie Moltisanti, the father of Michael Imperioli’s original series, Christopher Moltisanti, scheduled for release on September 24.

The Suicide Squad – scheduled for release on August 6 – was also shown at the end of the clip, with Idris Elba (Bloodsport) and John Cena (Peacemaker) having a good-natured conversation.

Bloodsport says: ‘Nobody likes to show off.’

Dune is also shown in the clip, although director Denis Villeneuve detonates Warner Bros. a week after the bombastic announcement that all of his 2021 films would premiere in theaters and on HBO Max simultaneously.

It stars Timothee Chalamet, Jason Momoa, Zendaya, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Dave Bautista, Javier Bardem and Stellan Skarsgard, and is set to open on October 8.

Godzilla vs. Kong, starring Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Eiza Gonzalez and Jessica Henwick, was also featured with a May 19 release.
