Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is celebrating this week’s release of Bravely Default II with a new Spirit Board event. The event starts at 10 pm tomorrow, February 25, and features the four Heroes of Light from Square Enix’s newest RPG Switch as Spirits.

The heroes are paired to form two different Spirits: Seth & Gloria and Elvis & Adelle. Each of them will appear periodically on the Spiritual Board during the event. You will also earn extra Spirit Points each time you defeat the new Bravely Default Spirits. The event runs until 22h PT on March 2nd.

Bravely Default II is released for Switch on February 26th. Despite the number in its title, it is actually the third suitable installment in its series so far, following the original Bravely Default and its sequel, Bravely Second. Bravely Default II is also an independent adventure, featuring an original cast of characters and story.

Prior to the release of Bravely Default II, Square Enix recently shared a new trailer explaining the game’s battle system. A free demo of the game is also available on the Switch eShop, and anyone who downloads before the release of Bravely Default II will earn 100 My Nintendo Platinum bonus points. The next DLC fighters from Smash Bros. Ultimate are Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2. The newcomers were first revealed during Nintendo’s Direct presentation in February 2021, and game director Masahiro Sakurai will give us an in-depth look at them during a dedicated Smash Bros. broadcast. next week, on March 4th.
