The scarlet witch’s costume includes a tribute to the vision

At the end of WandaVision, a detail in the costume that Wanda wears as the Scarlet Witch can be related to the design of her soul mate, Vision.

At the end of the WandaVision series, Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda completed a long transformation into the powerful Scarlet Witch, with a new costume to symbolize her internal changes. Although most fans quickly noticed the precise appearance of her outfit, it also contained a more subtle reference to a very significant part of Wanda’s life.

As pointed out in a Captain B2 post on Instagram, the outline of Pedra da Mente appears in the center of the design cut out on Wanda’s collar. This makes reference not only to the cosmic force that originally aroused Wanda’s superpowers, but also to his twin soul Vision, who was brought to life with the same strength.

The image in the post shows a side-by-side comparison of the Mindstone embedded in Vision’s forehead with the Scarlet Witch costume form. The following text says: “In Vision’s loving memory, Wanda maintained a Mental Stone Shape Design on her Scarlet Witch costume near her neck. The Mind Stone played a crucial role in bringing vision to life and increasing the Power of Wanda. “

One of the six Infinity Stones that had a great influence on the events of the first three phases of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the Stone of the Mind was explained in Avengers: Age of Ultron have given Wanda and his brother Pietro their respective powers. In the same film, Pedra da Mente was the decisive component in the formation of Vision, an android superhero who later forged a loving relationship with Wanda.

When the stone was pulled from Vision’s forehead in Avengers: Infinity War, he seemed to have been killed permanently, but the story of WandaVision showed how Wanda’s pain led her to recreate her lover in a world of her own.

Although much of Wanda’s personal history is linked to the Stone of the Mind, it makes sense for her to associate her first with her lover, and for her to keep a reminder of this close to her heart in the new persona she created for herself.

Written by Jac Schaeffer and directed by Matt Shakman, WandaVision stars Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff / Scarlet Witch, Paul Bettany as Vision, Randall Park as agent Jimmy Woo, Kat Dennings as Darcy Lewis, Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau and Kathryn Hahn as Agnes. The series is available for streaming on Disney +.
