The Russo Brothers directed the latest Fortnite trailer

It turns out that the beginning of the last season of Fortnite brought some family directors to direct the explosive trailer for cinematic revelation of Season 6. As revealed by Variety, the Russo Brothers directed the trailer for Zero Crisis, which launched the start of Fortnite Chapter 2: Season 6 yesterday after Zero Crisis’ final single-player mission.“It has been fantastic to work with the Epic team,” the pair said in a statement to Variety. “Fortnite occupies a unique place in pop culture and we think Donald Mustard (creative director at Epic Games) is a visionary storyteller who continues to take us into uncharted territory.”

Mustard said that his team and the Russo Brothers, whose last film is Cherry, starring Tom Holland, worked together to “write, storyboard and direct not only the cinematic opening, but also much of the character’s setting in Chapter 2, Season 6 yet to be revealed, “according to Variety.

This is not the first time that the duo of directors has worked with Epic Games. They brought Thanos into the game as a Fortnite x Avengers: Infinity War cross event. This crossover took place after the Russo Brothers contacted Epic directly.

“In the past few months, while editing Infinity War, we took breaks to join some games,” said Joe Russo. “And then we started thinking, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to have some sort of Avengers-Fortnite mashup? So we chased Donald [Mustard]. “Check out the cinematic trailer for the Zero Crisis story directed by Russo Brothers and then check out this gameplay from the final single player Zero Crisis event.
