Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson shared a very identifiable parenting moment on Instagram on Friday involving his daughter Tia, 2, and an emergency in the bathroom. “When they have to go, they have to go,” wrote the 48-year-old on Thursday, with the caption for a photo of him holding the girl precariously while she relieves herself on a patch of grass. “Baby Tia said she needed to pee, so we said, ‘No problem, honey, you’re wearing a diaper. Pee and I will switch later. ‘”
The Rock continued: “She refused to use the diaper (I don’t blame her) and asked if she could pee on the grass. Sure, we’re on private property, so Daddy takes her out to pee on the grass. But then she decides to renegotiate (again, I don’t blame her) and demands that Daddy catch her because she doesn’t want to ‘stay at the Lava Monster’, so I have to hold her while she pee … all over my new ones white sneakers. “
He joked: “And if I find this guy from ‘Lava Monster’, I’m going to beat him up. Hell, I’m going to take that precious memory on my sneakers any day). “
Always the father involved, Rock had an “incredibly complicated” relationship with his own father, who died in January 2020 of a heart attack. This relationship is portrayed in his next television comedy, Young Rock. The NBC series, which opens on February 16, reveals the story of his life as a boy, then as an adult – played by Johnson himself – as an aspiring president of the United States.
The actor loves his own children, Tia, and his daughter Jasmine, 5, with wife Lauren Hashian. The Rock is also the father of Simone Dwayne Johnson, 18, his daughter from a previous marriage.
Quality time with Aunt is often documented on her father’s Instagram page, including her attempt to untangle the child’s hair last week. Calling itself “Mr. Golden Hands, ”the ex-professional fighter kindly untied her hair while she had an expression of“ terror ”on her face. “I may be bald, but I know a thing or two about hair,” he wrote in the post.
And he recounts his hilarious attempts to convince Tia that he voiced the character Maui, an egocentric demigod, in the 2016 Disney animated film Moana. However, Tia does not believe this, even while singing a duet with the father of her character’s popular song, “You’re Welcome”.
