The resurrection of Ghosts’ n Goblins has four difficulties and here are the differences

The easiest way to have revivals on site

Coinciding with a game overview trailer for Resurrection of Ghosts and Goblins, Capcom shared a quick analysis of how the difficulty settings differ. Knowledge is power (but I’m still going to die a ton). There are four options – Legend, Knight, Squire and Page – and none of them seem particularly kind.

Here’s what to expect, going from the most difficult to the most forgiving:

  • Caption mode: your armor can only take one hit and there are more enemies on the screen.
  • Knight mode: you can give an extra blow.
  • Squire mode: you can take an extra hit and there are fewer enemies.
  • Page mode: you can revive “on the spot”.

Capcom also confirmed that if you clean Resurrection of Ghosts and Goblins on Legend, Knight or Squire, you’ll be able to run it back and face tougher versions of Shadow from each stage – the classic “second loop”. This seems like a fair trade for people who want to go all the way and feel sufficiently rewarded.

The end of the trailer shows noticeably faster images of Arthur maneuvering a bouncing boss. Apparently, there are “more surprises in store” for this game, and that clip is one of them.

I’m curious to see the list of How Long to Beat for Resurrection.
