It looks like your prince is playing rewind time again because the remake of Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time has been delayed yet again. Ubisoft previously pushed the expected launch comes back from January to March this year. They have now announced that Sands Of Time needs some more time, but have not said how much. Someone will need to track the prince and stop him from running around Ubisoft’s offices with that dangerous time dagger.
Inside today’s announcement, Ubisoft offers the pretty standard delay post we’ve been familiar with since 2020. They thank fans for their comments and support first.
“With that said, we made the decision to move the release of Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake to a later date. This extra development time will allow our teams to deliver a remake that looks new, while remaining true to the original. We understand that the update may come as a surprise and we will continue to keep you informed of the progress of Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake. ”
Announcing a delay without a new due date is not a fantastic sign, but Ubisoft is certainly not the first to do so recently. Dying Light 2 did that, and so did Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2. Neither took a hat release date, unfortunately. Good luck to Prince Of Persia, then.
The remake may need some more time, but the original game is still one of the best time travel games. “There is no greater emblematic claim that the Gregorian calendar is an arbitrary attempt to ignore the chaos of existence than when I stab it with my time knife. This Prince of Persia reinitiated the run on the popularized wall and the ‘undo death’ button ‘at the same time “, explains Brendy Caldwell.
When Prince Of Persia: The Sands Of Time Remake is released, you’ll find it on the Epic Games Store and on the Ubisoft store.
