Despite Lambregts’ complaints, the publication suggested that although a delay is expected, a new launch date has not yet been set in stone.

The deadline added that, although a specific date has not yet been decided, they reported that it would be moved to a new date in the fall.

The film, directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, was originally scheduled for release in April 2020, but was postponed to November before being changed again to April 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

MailOnline contacted EON Productions for comment.

Bloomberg reported that Netflix, Amazon and Apple were asked about the possibility of the film being offered for VOD Premium.

However, according to Deadline.com, none of the streaming services was willing to put more than half the amount the studio was looking for.
