The release of Dead Cells: Fatal Falls features a cute animated trailer

More Dead Cells isn’t exactly hard to sell (aha!), But that hasn’t stopped developers from making it all out with a new animated trailer for the Fatal Falls DLC. It’s even relevant to the game, featuring a sensitive sticky but incredibly cruel sword that loves to stab.

The sword is just one of several new weapons to be launched in the excellent platform game. In addition, there are lightning rods that summon rays from above, teleporting snake fangs for some reason, a boatman’s flashlight that combines melee and ranged attacks and a powerful iron rod for more melee fun. Wait for each of them to splash bloody pixels on your screens with the bucket load.

The new hack ‘n’ slash areas include floating islands populated by a pagan cult (with huge, conscious statues), the storm dominated by Undying Shores and the Mausoleum, where you will fight a gardener who only likes flowers and mushrooms. You are neither, so be prepared to receive mulch.

Here’s the real look of the new DLC. I was not wrong about the pixels.

Well, it looks like I’m going to play Dead Cells this weekend. It’s one of those games that I never uninstall. He just stays there on Steam, waiting for me to get tired of everything else, knowing that I will end up at The Hand of the King at 2am.

Fatal Falls will cost £ 4.50 / $ 5 / € 5 on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, Origin and Humble
