Cobra Kai Season 3 Release Date

Snake Kai fans have been waiting patiently for the third season of The Karate Kid following the series since it was announced that Netflix bought it from YouTube and would continue Daniel LaRusso’s story (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and the next generation of young fighters. Originally, new episodes were announced with a premiere on January 8, but as a small Christmas gift for fans, the Snake Kai the release date for season 3 has been slightly changed.

On Christmas eve, Snake Kai announced that the third season would arrive on New Year’s Day:

It looks like Netflix has a big security issue if Johnny Lawrence was able to just scroll down to the Cobra Kai page and change the release date as if it were just a document in Microsoft Word. But the lapse in Internet security is our gain now that we can watch the third season of Cobra Kai during the upcoming New Year holiday weekend.

In the second season of Snake Kai, former dojo master John Kreese (Martin Kove) came back to help Johnny get his new team of karate students in shape. But it seems that Kreese took things too far, bringing back the relentless attitude that turned Johnny and his friends into bullies in their youth. This is not something Johnny was willing to put up with this time, and it prompted Kreese to take over.

This resulted in a new rivalry between Cobra Kai dojo and Daniel’s newly created Miyagi-Do Karate, which eventually led to Johnny’s protégé, Miguel (Xolo Maridueña) at the hospital after a school fight with Daniel’s student Robby Keene (Tanner Buchanan), who is also Johnny’s son. It looks like Miguel will need some time to recover, but I hope he comes back to settle the score at the end of the season. What’s in store for Robby after seriously injuring Miguel? It looks like he is going to spend some time in juvenile detention, and his karate skills may not be enough to keep him safe.

After this altercation, Daniel and Johnny realize that they have failed as leaders and are ready to do something about John Kreese and the threat he poses to the next generation of karate kids. Will they be rivals again after all is said and done? Or could this be the beginning of a friendship?

Let’s find out when Snake Kai the third season comes to Netflix in January 1, 2021.
