The release date for A Quiet Place 2 has been postponed by four months

The release date for A peaceful place, part II it was brought forward by four months. Watch the trailer here:

The sequel was originally scheduled to be released last year, and even had its debut in New York, but it soon became clear that it would have to be postponed because of you know what.

Subsequently, it was rescheduled on several occasions, but this time it is being moved in the right direction – from September 17 to May 28.

John Krasinski goes back to the director’s chair and also takes part in the sequel, which may come as a surprise to you if you watched the first movie.

He also wrote the accompaniment, so apparently the guy can do everything.

Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds and Noah Jupe reprise their roles in the sequel, while none other than Cillian Murphy – aka Tommy Shelby – joins the cast.

Djimon Hounsou, who had an Oscar nominated performance in Blood diamond, will also feature.

The official plot summary reads: “After the deadly events at home, the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) must now face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their struggle for survival in silence.

“Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that creatures that hunt for sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sandy path.”

Disseminating a little more about the narrative, Krasinski said Total Movie that the sequel will see Blunt’s character confronted with the harsh realization that surviving, rather than thriving, is the name of the game.

He said: “I love the idea of ​​the first one, that Emily and I, as characters, were all about survival versus thriving. [my character] wanted to do was survive.

“AND [her character] says: ‘This is not enough. We it needs flourish. We have to let these children be totally human beings’.

“And after I’m gone, I’m loving seeing Emily really fighting it – that maybe survival is the way to go. And maybe that idea of ​​prospering is very dangerous.”
