This week’s Red Dead Online weekly update aired, and for players looking to explore the rugged outdoors or spend some time by the lake, the next few days look especially rewarding. The developer Rockstar Games detailed all of this week’s updates and more in a new blog post that you can read the highlights below.

Naturalistic rewards

Naturalists can earn double the money and XP rewards on all sample sales this week, as well as an additional bonus of 100 rounds of sedative Varmint rifle and five revive animals on any legendary animal sample. For players looking to explore the more natural side of Red Dead Online, a courtesy care package with Potent Herbivore bait, Potent Predator bait and three special lake baits will also be available.

The retail cost of the Naturalista sample kit is also being discounted, with players being able to take five gold bars from this equipment. Completing a round of Wildlife Photographer will result in a 40% discount on the Advanced Camera, and bringing fur to Gus Macmillan for him to transform into clothing and trinkets will result in the cost of clothing below Rank 15 at a 50% discount.

Angler Bonus

Free roam fishing challenges will give players double money and XP rewards. The frequency of these challenges will be increased this week, and visiting the butcher to unload any fish you have caught will have an extra 50% cash bonus on all sales.

Naturalists will have additional discounts this week, including a 30% discount on Harriet’s Tonics, Novice and Promising Naturalist items, all items in the Gus’ Store and the Elephant Rifle. Fishermen can have a 40% discount on the price of the fishing rod, all fishing lures and all hats.

Prime Gaming Benefits

Rockstar has announced that anyone who connects their Rockstar Games Social Club account to Prime Gaming will be able to start a career as a bounty hunter and equip their wagon with a new paint job:

Players who connect to Prime Gaming before April 12 will receive a 30% discount offer on selected horses of various classes, a 30% discount offer on selected horse care pamphlets from Cerca and an additional 40 offer % discount on any saddle.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has become one of Rockstar’s biggest hits since it launched in 2018 and has sold over 36 million copies so far.
