South Carolina Red Cross disaster team members are providing assistance for immediate needs such as shelter, food and clothing for those affected.

“As our teams work with impacted families, we think of all of them and want to offer support,” said Lisa Colby, the executive director of the Upstate Chapter, at Sunday’s launch. “This is another sad reminder that fires can happen anywhere at any time and we must always be prepared for such disasters.”

In addition to the immediate needs, the Red Cross says team members are providing virtual mental and spiritual assistance to anyone in need.
